There lady said she won’t exchange the note as it’s against their policy. I said “dear xyz this not your father in law’s bank where you can frame your own rules and regulations this is a mandatory obligation according to RBI that banks should accept such soiled notes from general public as and when presented after satisfying that it’s not a counterfeit note/currency. Now this lady never imagined that a person as shabbly dressed like me would know rules and regulations (I assume it was her bad day) and dismissed me with out second thoughts. I was furious. I immediately called my maternal uncle (connect this to the beginning) and informed him about what was happening in their organisation. He asked me to give him 10 minutes, told things will be sorted. After 5 minutes there is a special PA announcement over the bank’s PA system (my name and token number being announced) to meet the manager. I went to the teller lady deliberately and showed my token and asked why I am being called again knowing that I have to meet the manager. Again she dismissed me and told me to meet the manager. The manager after exchanging a few pleasantries asked me how I knew the region director and I told him that he is my uncle (mother’s young brother). Then I asked for a paper and pen patiently wrote a detailed letter with what happened at the counter and gave him the letter. By now the pretty lady behind the counter was called to the manager’s room. Not knowing what has happened she walked in with a charming face (all characters in her mannerisms to lure any angry customer with her chams). When the lady tried to take a seat next to me the manager said remain standing. This was the 1st moment of truth for the charming lady that she has pissed off the wrong person

The manager was pretty shaken after reading my letter addressed him. In addition to the whole incident, I had mentioned in the letter that the he was not taking sufficient care in running the bank by following RBI guidelines after reading my letter the manager gave it to the lady for her to read. After reading she tried to tell that how can she accept the spoiled note as it was recently issued for public circulation. The manager lost it completely. He blasted her Infront of me (clearly his ass too is also under fire) telling her it’s not for her to decide whether to accept spoiled note. Your stupidity has landed all of us seriously trouble and you are a useless idiot. The suffering multiple because I was smiling at her sarcastically and enjoying it. The lady broken down and started crying. It gave me higher level of satisfaction when I saw tears following for her eyes and address the lady directly by her name “ look Xyz I told you the rule and still you never bother to even cross check it with higher authority. So this is a situation you brought upon yourself. This is not a kindergarten school where you can get away with tears. This is banking sector where you need to pay at most care as even a slight error will lead to serious consequences.” The poor lady had no choice but to listen and continue crying saying she will not repeat the mistake.
